Marylou Denny, 78, of Canyon died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Canyon with the Rev. Jim Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Marylou was born Jan. 21, 1930, to Chester and Elsie Bollinger Riddle. She married Kenneth Lyle Denny on April 1, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1986.

Marylou enjoyed being with her family and friends, especially on game nights. She was an Oklahoma State University basketball fan. Marylou worked as a cashier for 15 years at Wal-Mart in Canyon, where she loved her job and her customers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Cintella and husband Don of Canyon; two sons, Lyle Denny and wife Ronda of Panhandle and Brian Denny and wife Tonya of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Nicole Jacobs and husband Matt, Andrew Cintella, Austin Cintella, Kaleb Denny and Jacob Denny; and two great-grandchildren, Lyndsie Jacobs and Macie Jacobs.

The family suggests memorials be to Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
