Rare Cancer Claims Former Area Resident

Larry R Twillegar, 23, former Lewiston and Orofino resident, died at 9 pm Thursday at St Luke's Hospital at Boise of a rare type of cancer. He had been hospitalized for the last five days.

He had been in ill health the last several years. Before going to Boise last month he had lived at Lewiston for a brief time. Prior to that, he resided at Orofino for seven years.

He was born at Grangeville on Aug 7, 1947, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dean Twillegar. He grew up at Whitebird and Orofino and received most of his schooling at Riggins.

He had been employed in construction work in Orofino.

Survivors include his stepfather and mother, Mr & Mrs. Lewis "Wimpy" Green, Orofino; a sister Mrs. Kenneth (Dina) Jones, Pierce; four half brothers, Randy & Kevin Twillegar, both of Spokane; Rick and Roger Green, both of Orofino; two half-sisters, Judy & Jean Green, both of Orofino; maternal grandparents, Mr & Mrs. Albert Rape, Whitebird.
