Bertha A. Moore, 81, a Southwick native and longtime Clarkston resident, died Friday at Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center at Clarkston of pneumonia.

She was born Feb. 10, 1915, to Henry and Gertrude Kirknoff Loeser near Southwick, on the prairie between Kendrick and Orofino. She grew up and attended schools in the Southwick area.

She married Charles R. Moore in August 1940 at Lewiston. They made their home at Clarkston.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and eating.

Survivors include a son, Carl R.; two brothers, Ernest and Frank; a sister, Jenny; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Herman Loeser; a sister, Mary Hoffel; and a grandson.
