published by the Lincoln County Genealogical Society:
ALLEN NELSON FAMILY
Allen (b. 1840's) s/o Farmer and Matilda
(Maynard) Nelson. Allen m. 1) Julia Ann (b.
May 13, 1846) d/o Fernandes French Hatfield and Mary
Ellen "Polly" (Franklin) Hatfield. Julia died with the
birth of the tenth child who also died. Both are
buried in the Adkins Cemetery about one mile above Ranger. She is buried beside her sister,
Anderanas Savannah Adkins who married
Hansford Adkins. Anderanas also died in
childbirth. The sisters are buried with their
babies in their arms.
