Frank Bruno Dies Suddenly
Francis "Frank" Bruno, 52, proprietor of the Roger Ludlow Hotel in West Washington street, died suddenly this morning of a heart attack in the hotel. Oxygen was rushed by police to aid the stricken man but he died before it arrived.
Born near Naples, Italy, Mr. Bruno resided in Noroton for many years, maintaining a home in William street. He was formerly in the contracting business in Darien. He had operated the hotel for the past 14 years.
Mr. Bruno served a term in the U.S.Navy from 1920 to 1924.
He was a member of the Noroton Heights Volunteer Fire Department; Piedmont Club of Noroton Heights; South Norwalk Lodge of Elks; Norwalk Lodge IOOM; Norwalk Aerie, FOE; Independent Order of Red Men; St. Vincent's Club, Santa Maria Della Murgia Society, both of this city; Norwalk Boat Club and the Ischoda Yacht Club, of which he was commodore.
Surviving are his wife, the former Isabelle Rafferty; two sons, Francis, Jr. of Noroton Heights and Joseph John of Norwalk; three daughters, Kathleen Elizabeth, Lillie Marie of Norwalk and Rosalind of Darien; two brothers, Augostino and Anthony, both of Florida and three sisters, Mrs James (Elizabeth) Guianna, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Canto and Mrs. Lee (Ernestine) Querro, all of Noroton Heights.
Funeral arrangements, in charge of the Collins Funeral Homes, are incomplete.
