Sallie was an extraordinary wife, mother, caregiver and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Bernice Pruitt of Burlington and Janice P. Compton and her husband, Steve of Urbanna, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn P. Pruitt and his wife, Joyce of Sherrills Ford, NC and Mark T. Pruitt of Burlington; grandchildren, Susan P. Blackwell, Tommy and Matt Compton; great grandchildren, India Blackwell, Hailey and Amanda Compton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Richard Achilles and Lucy Belle Talley Cole; a sister and five brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darryl Peebles and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
