After the war, Henry served in the PA militia as a volunteer private, and moved up in rank to captain. He got the family property back in Easton for the original four children.
Henry served four years as Northampton County's first Postmaster. He worked the next 4 years as the county's Sheriff, then became County Prothonotary. After that Henry served as Registrar, and Clerk of Sessions.
He was Chief Burgess of Easton for 2 years. During the War of 1812, Henry became Brigadier General of the militia. He died 1/6/1823 at age 67. Bio by Peggy Spengler-Moser.
