Waverly, the eldest son was born in Burnside in 1875. He taught school in his younger days. Later he ran the dairy farm in Burnside and still later farmed near Ladysmith, Wisconsin. He returned to Red Wing about 1920, where he lived until his death in 1932 from Bright's disease. He was married to Cora Laidlaw for many years, but in their later years they were separated. Why, I really don't know. They had no children. He lived in Red Wing and Burnside during his later years.
Waverly also had served in the Spanish American War.
