Pasquale Di Marzo was the son of Giovanni DiMarzo & Maria Guiseppa Marosco and immigrated to the US in 1860 from Palermo, Sicilia, Italy. He and his family arrived in Washington on April 14, 1865, the day President Lincoln was assassinated. Pasquale's barber shop was across the street from the White House and he became the personal barber for Andrew Johnson.
