He rode horseback 60-miles to Lecompte, Louisiana from Simpson, Louisiana to bring back his dead sister's son with him. His sister was Artmisia Gayden (Lewis) Lynch Hall. The boy was Overton Bruce Lynch, Junior. After his sister died and her second husband, Tom Hall, had gave away Overton Bruce Lynch, Junior. Overton Bruce Lynch, Junior was raised by Henry Lewis and Jullia Isabelle (Jackson) Lewis. Overton bruce Lynch, Junior grew up and married Minnie Blackwell and he died in 30 Nov 1938 and he is buried at Fellowship Methodist Cemetery, Hineston, Rapides Parish Louisiana.
