Millie Pridgen Dunbar, 73, of Elm City, died Friday, November 3, 2023.


Funeral, Wednesday, 2:00 PM, Pleasant Hope Missionary Baptist Church, followed by visitation. Interment, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City.

Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Gary Dunbar; daughters, Rejeanor Kiefer (Micheal) and Amber Thomason (Jason) of Elm City; grandchildren, Caleb Kiefer, Austin Kiefer, Rachel Thomason and Jacob Thomason; sisters, Olivia Bottoms (Alan) of Roxboro and Vickie Duncan (Bruce) of Plainsville, GA.

She was a retired elementary school counselor with over 30 years of service 15 of those being at Winstead School in Wilson. A graduate of ECU, she earned her masters degree from Campbell University. The number of animals outside her home are indication of how much she loved each and every one of them.
