Aryglle Lee King Wells, 90, of North Turkey Creek Road, Leicester, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2024, at River Bend Health and Rehabilitation (formerly WNC Baptist Home).
A native of Buncombe County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Wells, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Allie King. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Howard King; sisters, Lucy Jones, Geraldine Capps, Jeanette Teague and Marie Parker; and two infant brothers. Mrs. Wells was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church until her health declined. She retired from Andrex Industries Corporation where she worked for many years.
Mrs. Wells is survived by her special friends, Tricia Wallace (Curtis), Patrick Redden (Katelyn), Preston Redden (Lauren), Marlene Weaver and Granger Redden; two sisters, Thelma Wines (Howard) and Glenda Henson (Roy); sister-in-law, Peggy Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
To honor Argylle's life, a celebration service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with the Revs. Ricky Wolfe and Phillip Freeman officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include Granger Redden, Patrick Redden, Preston Redden, William Redden, Cameron Rymer, Ryan Thomas, Curtis Wallace, Howard Wines and Mark Wines.
Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 373 North Turkey Creek Road, Leicester, NC 28748.
