William Lee Hollis went to see his Lord and Savior on January 6, 2024.

Bill was born on February 27, 1942 in Attica, IN to Ivan and Mary Louise (Larson) Hollis. He graduated from Pine Village High School in 1960. Shortly after graduating, he joined and served in the Army National Guard. During Bill's working career, he was employed by Rea Magnet Wire Company in Lafayette, IN, where retired after nearly 40 years of dedicated service.

Bill was a tireless worker who held two jobs most of his working life. However, Bill's real passion was his love for farming. He purchased his first farm in 1969 and continued to work in his farming practice until he became injured in a car accident in January 2022. The farms and the work that came with them, was his true passion.

Bill was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and a Past Member of the Wadena Baptist Church in which he served in many capacities.

Bill loved his family more than anything else. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley R. (Kuzee) Hollis; two sons; four grandchildren; and five siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Rev. Earl and Ethylen Kuzee; two sisters, Marilyn Larson and Aileen Hollis; and brother-in-law, Larry Byers.

Visitation and celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 North 9th St Rd, Lafayette, IN. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, with funeral services immediately following. A short graveside service will follow at Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens.
