Rose Aileen Hollis, 71, of West Lafayette, IN, died at 7:45 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her residence with family by her side.

She was born on February 20, 1951 in Williamsport, IN, the daughter of the late Ivan Harold and Mary Louise (Larson) Hollis. She grew up in Warren County, IN and graduated from Pine Village High School in 1969. She then earned her BS from Ball State University and later her Masters from Indiana State University. Rose worked as a speech & hearing therapist for the Warren County MSD, mainly focused at Warren Central Elementary and Seeger High School. She also worked for a few years for the Attica School System. Rose retired in 2009 after over 34 years of service, helping children with speech therapy.

Rose loved to read and sew. She was an excellent dancer and had won several awards dancing with the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. She was always looking to help children, both with her time as well as donating clothing to those in need. Recently, she had enjoyed traveling with her sister.

Survivors include six siblings and several nieces and nephews. Rose was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Larson; two nephews, Jeffery Sturgeon and Randy Sturgeon; one niece, Diane Van Dame; and a great-niece, Valerie McIntosh.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the memorial service at 1:00 PM with Brenda McIntosh officiating. Burial of ashes will follow at the Rainsville Cemetery in Rainsville, IN.
