REIDSVILLE - Edna Lipford Evans, 98, formerly of 1290 Oregon Hill Rd., died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at Morehead Nursing Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born in Pittylvania County, Va. to the late Dorsey Lipford and Nannie Alverson Lipford. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Happy Home Congregational Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd William Evans; and a son, Edward Evans.
Survivors are her children, Viola Parrish and husband, Cleo of Gainsville, Ga., Harold Evans and wife, Irene of Reidsville, J. Donald Evans and wife, Geraldine of Reidsville; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Clifton Lipford of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Cora Page of Ruffin.
