Frances "Pauline" Anders, age 88, of Barnardsville, passed away on Thursday. She was the daughter of the late John and Clyde Shepherd Anders. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 6 sisters and 6 brothers.

She is survived by a daughter, Terri Burleson (Jim) of Barnardsville; sister, Kate Barker of Denver, NC: brothers, Burrell "Tucker" Anders (Shelby) and Robert "Bob" Anders (Janet) both of Barnardsville: grandchildren, Hannah "Hann" Burleson (boyfriend Landon), and Mitchell Burleson and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Anders retired from American Enka Corporation. She was a member of Pisgah Forest Freewill Baptist Church. She loved helping her family and friends. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and working puzzles.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Monday, September 18, 2023 in the Maney Cemetery in Barnardsville. Reverends Dean Metcalf and Larry Coates will officiate.
