Mrs. Flossie Johnson, age 66, of Myakka City, Florida died at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Wednesday. She was born in Manatee County, Florida and had lived her entire life in Myakka City, Florida. She was a member of the Myakka City United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, John Johnson, Myakka City, Fla; three sons Charles Johnson, El Jobean, Florida, Ellison Johnson, Anchorage, Alaska, Wilbur (Jimmie) Johnson, Pine Level, Florida; four brothers, Gordon Carlton, Plant City, Florida, Henry Carlton, Highlands City, Florida, W.A. Carlton, Plant City, Florida, Herbert Carlton, Leesburg, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Horrace Durrance, Fort Myers, Florida Mrs. Sallie Mae Albritton, Pine Level, Florida. Mrs. Irene McDonald, Myakka City, Fla., and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, August 30, 1970, at 2:00 p.m. from the Robarts-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dow Durrance and Rev. Gerald Taylor officiating. Burial was in Old Myakka City Cemetery, Myakka City, Florida. Robarts-Grady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
