William was the son of Charles Darwin Pennebaker and Lucinda "Lula" Wiles Harris. He was buried in Landsdale Cemetery in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania but when his wife died in 1990 his body was moved to the Rose Hill Burial Park with his wife in Akron, Summit County Ohio.
