Mitchell "Micky" Lane, 72, of Homerville passed away Tuesday evening, February 28, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Charlton County to the late Charlie Otis and Pencie Lee Smith Lane. Mr. Lane was a 1972 graduate of Clinch County High School and lived here most of his life. He retired from the Clinch County Training Center as a Detail Supervisor. Mr. Lane was a member of Shiloh Church and enjoyed hunting arrowheads. He was a collector of many things, including coins, guns, and knives. He always enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Lane.
A funeral service will be held Friday morning, March 3, 2023, at 11 am at New Vision Church of God. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
