VIRGINIA BEACH - Marie Fitzgerald Browne, 90, passed away Feb. 25, 2008. She was born in Java, Va., and reared in Atlantic City, N.J. She and her husband raised their family in Teaneck, N.J., and then moved to Virginia Beach in 1998.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wendell P. Browne; her son, W. Phillip Browne; her parents, William and Alice Fitzgerald; and her siblings, Pearl White, William Fitzgerald Jr., Theodore Fitzgerald, Emily Brown, Evelyn Jones and Ruth Cook.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Maryellen Browne; granddaughter, Melanie James; a brother, Ross Fitzgerald; and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service at noon in the funeral home. Interment will follow the services at Rosewood Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mem.com.
