Alberta King Jeffers age 88, of Greeneville, TN, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She retired from Magnavox and was a Baptist.
Mrs. Jeffers survived by one son: Dale (Kathy) Gunter of White Pine; five daughters: Drusilla Long and Shelia Jeffers both of Greeneville, Phyllis (Gary) Vincent of Texas, Tammy Carlyn, Debbie (Tom) Moore of Georgia; twelve grandchildren: Garrick Gunter, Angela Hicks, Stacey Svette, Jonathan Hicks, Violet Hicks, Stanley Moore, Steven Moore, Cody Carlyn, Serena Taylor, Breanna West, Ashley Bove, and Melissa Guinn; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother LC (Susie) King; three sisters: Mary Tullock, Margaret Cole, Patsy (John) Jones; several nieces and nephews; and a special dog: Bentley.
Mrs. Jeffers was preceded in death by her husband: Phil P. Jeffers in 2020; her parents: Chester and Sophia King: brothers: Paul, Pender, Shad, Emerson, and Eldridge King; sisters: Catherine Haney, Jerda McCarter; granddaughter: Lyleanne Hicks; and son-in-law: Lew Carlyn.
The family will receive family and friends from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, February 17th, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home with the Revs. Jeff Blake and Jeff Casteel officiating.
The family is ask to meet at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be Garrick Gunter, Jonathan Hicks, Kieran Hicks, Braxton Hicks, Jody Paige, Jimmy King, John Jones and Dale Long.
