HEMINGWAY -- Mrs. Lela McCormick Scott Edwards, 82, widow of William David Edwards, died Thursday at a Conway hospital.
Born in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late George William and Sephronia Sanders McCormick.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Scott Hardee of Hemingway, a son, Roscoe J. Scott of Myrtle Beach, four stepdaughters, Mrs. Sallie McCracken, Mrs. J.L. Haselden Jr. and Mrs. Frank Hucks of Conway and Mrs. Clara Morris of Rowland, N.C.; 19 grandchildren, 36 stepgrandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Center Baptist Church, with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery, Ridge Spring.
Goldfinch Funeral Home is in charge.
