Glynda Gail Crooks Boren, 58, of San Angelo, Texas, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, following a brief, courageous bout with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, Louisiana, with Minister Gabe Bruyere officiating.

Glynda was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, and graduated from Winnfield Senior High School in 1982. She graduated with honors from University of Louisiana Monroe with a Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, in 1987. A dedicated, compassionate professional, she had over three decades of experience in hospital, retail, and health maintenance organization settings. Her passion was the training of students, technicians, and interns.

Glynda was an active member of Southgate Church of Christ, San Angelo. She cherished the outdoors, especially vistas of mountains, forests, and wildlife. Glynda never stopped striving to learn and was always happy to talk about her travels, books, and movies. She loved to spoil her puppies Remington and Joey.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 32 years, Ronald Scott Boren of San Angelo; her parents Jerry Drew Crooks, Sr. and Ann Trawick Crooks, of Natchitoches, Louisiana; siblings Jo Ann Crooks Hall and husband Edward Randall Hall, Jr., of Carriere, Mississippi; Jerry Drew "Jay" Crooks, Jr. and wife Amy Arnold Crooks of Benton, Louisiana; Robyn Crooks Bryant and husband Steven Jones Bryant of Taylors, South Carolina; Laura Crooks Ward and husband Cary Scott Ward of Rockwall, Texas; and Lloyd Matthew Crooks and wife Sharon Collins Crooks of Collinston, Louisiana; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends, including special aunt Janet "Sissy" Garrett Trawick, who nursed Glynda through her final days.

Pallbearers will be Glynda's nephews, Edward Randall Hall III, Joshua Connor Ward, Collin Clark Crooks, Stephen Preston Boren, Barry Haden Boren, and Cortland Hill Boren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Earl Trawick, Jr. and Michael Christian Boren, Jr.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. the day of the service at Southern Funeral Home.
