Mae Jane Fletcher Hathcock, 98, passed away on May 23, 2022, at her home in Perry, FL. Mae was born February 26, 1924, in Live Oak, Florida to Arthur Hart and Ila Sandford Hart. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mae worked as a Lab Technician with Doctor's Memorial Hospital after her first husband passed away unexpectedly. She worked there for 13 years before retiring. in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, and scalloping. She was preceded in death by; her 1st and 2nd husbands, Melvin Hathcock and C.F. Fletcher; 2 sons, Richard and Marvin Hathcock; a daughter, Annie Mae Murphy, and a great grandson, Ashton Burns.

Mae is survived by; 2 sons, Barney Hathcock, and wife Ann, and Tommy Hathcock, and wife Sharon; 2 daughters, Charlsie Lee Shoaff, and husband Chuck, and Charline Valentine, all of Perry; and a host of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday May 26, 2022, at Southside Baptist Church with Bro. Gary French officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
