Roger H. Fromm, age 79, of New Holstein, passed away at his home on Friday, March 4, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was born May 9, 1942, in Manitowoc to Henry & Katherine (Schmidt) Fromm. He attended school in Kiel and graduated from Kiel High School in 1960. Following graduating, he enlisted in the Navy being stationed in Dam Neck, VA, serving as a Yeoman. Roger was honorably discharged October 30, 1964.
On February 27, 1965, he married Rosalie Flynn at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein; they were married for 57 years.
Roger worked at Arps Corp which became Amerequip for 34 years. He retired in 2002.
Roger was awarded a 50 year membership certificate from the IAM Union in 2016. He also was a co-owner along with his wife of the Flying Machine Tavern in New Holstein.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling to Mexico and many of the states as well as taking various cruises. On one of their Caribbean cruises, the couple renewed their wedding vows. Roger was an avid Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers fan. He was very proud of the Flying Machine baseball team; he never missed any of their games.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie; his three children, Chuck (Vivian) Fromm of Fond du Lac, Debra (Steve) Meier of Chilton, and Sandra "Sandie" (Keith) Frederickson of Hollandtown; his grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Tannor Fromm, Dylan Radder, Blake Meier, Austen (Megan) and Ian Frederickson; his great-grandchildren, Ivan Woods and Katheryne Frederickson; his brother-in-law, Edward (Mary Ann) Flynn of Henderson, NV and his sister-in-law, Pat Wolf of Kiel; his four legged friends, Harold & Minnie. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding him in death was his infant son, Daniel; his parents, Henry & Katherine Fromm; his sisters, Marion (Carl Jr.) Jaschob, Delores (John) Sartori, Joyce (George) Goeldi, Carol (Ron) Pendleton; his brother, William (Jean) Fromm; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Donald & Gladys Flynn; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Jane (Donnie) Buechel and Donna (Jerry) Thuecks.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Jeff Goeldi, Roger's nephew, will preside.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Roger's family at the funeral home on Saturday, March 12th from 12:00 Noon until 2:45 PM.
