Edward was the youngest of eight children born to Rev.Francis A and Rebecca Wagner
Hoffman.His father was a respected elder in the Evangelical church and well known in the Berks County area of Pennsylvania. He and one of his brothers.Charles H. made their home in New York ( King's County)
Edward remained a bachelor and was noted as a retired hotel clerk on his death record.He died at the age of 86 at the Brooklyn Home for Aged Men after suffering
several health issues.He was survived by his brother,Charles and many nieces and nephews.Internment was noted to be PineLawn,New York
