Professional Hockey Player. For eight-seasons (1981 to 1989), he played at the defenseman position in the National Hockey League with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. Born Randall Keith Joseph Boyd, he played with the Ottawa 67's junior hockey team prior to his promotion to the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1981-1982 season. In 257 career regular season games, he totaled 20 goals and 67 assists. He died from a massive heart attack while playing golf, four days before his 60th birthday.
