Louis "Bo" Strickland, 90, died Wednesday, May 15, 2007. He was born April 15, 1917 in Halifax County, son of Cornelia Strickland. Mr. Strickland was retired from the SCL Railroad and a US Army veteran serving in WWII. His son Marion Strickland and daughter, Barbara Johnson preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Olga Dildy Strickland of the home, son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Linda Strickland of Nashville. Special thanks to Hospice and Nash County Home Health. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 1912 Sunset Avenue with Rev. Ron Hawley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Dennis and Linda Strickland. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friends of Hospice, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Condolences may be sent to www.johnsonfuneralsand cremations.com.
