Actor. He will be best remembered for his role as 'Max' in the teen comedy film, "The Heavenly Kid" (1985). The film which was directed by Cary Medoway, and which also stars Richard Mulligan, Harold Bergman, Lewis Smith, Mark Metcalf, Jane Kaczmarek, Jason Gedrick, and Anne Sawyer, tells the story of a hip guardian angel named Bobby Fantana, who died in a car race in the 1960s, who reluctantly agrees to watch over a lonely 1980s high schooler who needs guidance on how to become cool. He is also best remembered for a few appearances he made in different roles in the Philip Michael Thomas and Don Johnson television police series, "Miami Vice" from 1984 to 1989. He was born one of two children as Willis Newton Knickerbocker Jr. in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Willis Newton Knickerbocker Sr. and his wife Bernice Matasavager Knickerbocker on August 19, 1939. He made his actual debut playing the role of 'Bill' in the horror film, "Barracuda" (1978), which also starred Jason Evers, and Bert Freed.
