A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November30, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Perryton with Rev. Mark Metzger officiating. Burial will follow at Paducah Garden of Memories in Paducah, TX. Viewing/visitation is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturday (11/27/21), 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday (11/28/21) and 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday (11/29/21) at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. A family visitation is also scheduled for Monday (11/29/21) from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Wanda was born on December 6, 1933 in Paducah, TX to Reese and Ida (Coats) Tye. She married Boyce Scott on August 27, 1955 in Paducah, TX. They moved to Perryton in 1959 from Ft. Worth, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She taught school in Perryton for 30 years. She was a member of DAR where she served as registrar for several years. She was a proud 50- year member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary society for women professionals. She was a secretary for many years for the Waka Christian Center. She was very active in the Walk to Emmaus retreat movement. She loved helping families with genealogy research.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons, David Scott and Byron Scott.

She taught school in Perryton for 30 years. She was a member of the Wolf Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served as registrar for several years, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a 50 year member of Delta Kappa Gamma, served as secretary for many years for the Waka Christian Center and was very active in the Walk to Emmaus retreat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce; two sons, David SCOTT and Byron SCOTT; and her parents, Reese and Ida (COATS) TYE.
