Thomas Skinner was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina, March 11th, 1795, died April 3rd, 1880, aged 85 years and 23 days. In early life he removed with his parents to the State of Ohio, where he was married in 1820. In 1836 he removed with his family to Adams Township, Cass County, Indiana where he resided until his death. During more than sixty years of his life, he was a faithful and consistent member of the Christian Church, and died in the triumphs of living faith. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, and was one of the most largely attended that was ever held in that township. The remains were interred at Twelve Mile graveyard."
