Leslie "Jackie" Leonard, 63, died Friday, July 25, 1997 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born June 27, 1934 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Fred Curry and Alma Louise Rosche Leonard. He was a former owner of Stone Manor Restaurant and an automobile dealer. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, Mercer Masonic Lodge 777 F&AM and Oleika Shrine Temple. He served as president of the Ft. Harrod Drama Board for 10 years and served on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Restaurant Association for 15 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Jo Young Leonard, Harrodsburg, two daughters, Mrs. Tammy (Jeff) Simpson, and Mrs. Scottie (Joe) Alford, both of Mercer County; one sister, Betty Jo Tyler, Wadesville, IN; two step sisters, Rose Bugg, Harrodsburg and Juanita Wilder, Boyle County; one step brother, Charlie Burton, Harrodsburg; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Leonard and two brothers, Russell and Fred C. Leonard, Jr. Services for Mr. Leonard were held Monday, July 28, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Edwin Freeman and Rev. Rick Snyder officiating. Masonic services were held Sunday. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.
