LAMAR, MO. -- Misty-Dawn Johns, 27, formerly of Mindenmines, MO., died at 9:11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, MO. She was born Sept. 3, 1975, in Pittsburg, KS to Roy A. Johns and Dorothy A. Garrison.
She attended area schools and lived in the area all her life.
She was a member of the Bible Believers in Pittsburg, KS.
She was a certified nurses aide at Quakerhill Manor, Lowell, KS.
Survivors include her parents, Roy Johns & Dorothy Garrison and her step parents Della Johns and Charlie Waring. Mr. & Mrs. Johns are from Pittsburg, KS and Ms. Garrison & Mr. Waring, are from Mindenmines, MO, two sons, Douglas B. Johns (Jonathan Brodie Davis - Adopted) of Lamar, Mo, and Donald C. Wolf, of Liberal, Mo.; two daughters, SaBrina R. Johns-Wolf and Charlie D. Wolf, both of Liberal; four brothers, Roy Johns, Jr., William "Bill" Johns, James Johns, and Stephen Johns all of Pittsburg, KS and one step brother James Waring, of Mindenmines, MO; two sisters, Melissa Johns, of Frontenac, KS, Brandee Johns, of Mindenmines, MO; numerous aunts and uncles, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Sipes officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the home of her father Roy Johns at 513 E. Eighth, Pittsburg, KS until the burial. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS.

Misty-Dawn was the one of the beloved grandchildren of her paternal grandparents Henry "Hank" & Nanna Bell "Nannie" (Brown) Johns, as well as by her maternal grandparents Leon Monroe & Willia May (Gifford) Garrison.
