Florrie’s 6 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the pride of her life. The legacy of her kind spirit, passion for fishing, love for her family, gardening and Santee will live on through all of them. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church for 53 years. Florrie always held Ashwood close to her heart where she attended high school and was the captain of the girls basketball team. This is also where she met the love of her life, the captain of the boys basketball team, Bill Grant who she married in 1947. They moved to Hartsville in the Summer of 1964 where they both lived the remainder of their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988.

Those that knew her referred to her as classy, one of a kind, and a true Southern Belle. She was young at heart even seen not too very long ago, catching snowflakes out of her car window. Her yards were always immaculate, her cork was always underwater and the grease was always popping in her kitchen. She was loved by all and will be missed by those who were blessed to know her.

Florrie and Bill leave behind their legacy, Ronnie and Debbie, CW and Lynn, Billy and Sheila, Chris, Teri and Bryan, and Sonja and Ray, 16 grandchildren (Kevin, Kourtney, Quentin, Heather, AraLeigh, Blake, Justin, Jacob, Emily, Stone, Caleb, Drake, Will, Matt, AnaClaire, and Clay), and 14 great-grandchildren (Averie, Carter, Claire, Emma Grey, Ellie Kate, Ethan, Grant, Greycie, Holly, Millie, Larkin, Ellie, Ada Scout, and Hendley).
