Burial for Mercedes Hall Brevig, last surviving child of the man for whom Larkspur's Henry C. Hall School was named, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael.

Mrs. Brevig, 73, died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital after an illness of several months. Her husband, Alf Otis Brevig, a retired Navy chief petty officer, preceded her in death last November.

Mrs. Brevig was bom in San Francisco but grew up in Corte Madera. Her father, Henry C. Hall, was superintendent of the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District for many years. Mrs. Brevig’s four brothers and sisters, including longtime Marin County Assessor George W. Hall Sr., all preceded her in death.

For many years, Mrs. Brevig worked for the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in San Rafael. The family home was on Park Street. Mrs. Brevig was a member of the United and Ancient Order of Druids of San Rafael and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Her only close survivors are nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary. San Rafael.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery
