Richard Edward Ryals passed away December 28, 2020 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

He was born June 30, 1952 in Fort Benning, GA and is survived by his loving wife Joanne S. Ryals, his sister Joyce Ryals, his nephew Robert W. Ryals III (Martha), his niece Rachel Ryals Rogers (Mark) and five great nieces and a great nephew along with many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Ryals Sr, CSM (Ret) and Joyce Duke Ryals and brother Robert W Ryals Jr.

Rich served in the USAF, then graduated from NC State University with a BSEE. He worked for 32 years for Westinghouse then Northrop Grumman in Baltimore MD.

Rich had a huge interest in ancestry and genealogy and spent many hours researching and documenting both personally and for others.
Rich and his wife retired to Murrells Inlet SC in 2011.

Richard will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery
