age 87, of Southern Pines NC, died Feb 7 2011 at his home in Southern Pines. Born Aug 10, 1924 in Fayetteville NC. He was a veteran of 101 Airborne, 501 PIR during WWII making combat jumps in Normandy and in Holland and fought at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Ryals was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Duke Ryals
And is survived by his daughter Joyce Ryals of Southern Pines NC, and sons Robert Ryals Jr and his wife Maryann of Raleigh Nc and Richard Ryals and wife Joanne of Severn MD.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery June 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM.
