Mrs. Myrtle Coker Mobley, aged 95, died Saturday, July 15, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born February 26, 1900 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John and Amanda Moore Coker. She was the owner of the Bushtown Grocery Store, the widow of Dewey Mobley and a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church. Survivors include: five sons, Ernest, Hanley and Howard Mobley, all of Mercer County, Garnett Mobley of Harrodsburg and Minor Mobley of Dublin, IN; three daughters, Cornell Reynolds and Joyce Britton, both of Mercer County and Kathleen DeRossett of Lexington; three half-sisters, Amanda B. Tyler, Nancy Warner and Matilda Coslow, all of Mercer County and 28 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and 37 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant sons: Vernon, Verlin and Shirley Mobley; three sisters, Bessie Royalty, Maggie Royalty and Hazel Casey; one brother, John L. Coker; one half-sister, Mary Gowins and one half-brother, Samuel Coker. Funeral services were at 2:00 Tuesday, July 18 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Readnour officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
