JB, the owner of D&E Builders, loved his work, people and making their dreams a reality. If he wasnít working on the job, he was busy helping someone with one of his many talents.
JB is survived by his son, Eugene Davis; a granddaughter, Cailey Davis, and a grandson, Zach Davis, whom he loved dearly; four brothers, Ambrose Davis and wife, Sharon; Carl Davis and wife, Shirley, of Fairview; Nathan Davis of Arden; and Charles Davis and wife, Shirley, of Mills River; two sisters, Virginia Suggs and husband, Raymond, of Arden, and Annette Stepp and her husband, David, of Edneyville; a sister-in-law, Ruth Davis of Rutherfordton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6 pm Saturday, July 25 at Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, 646 Concord Road, Fletcher, NC 28732. The Reverend Ansel Pace will officiate.
