Hershel Walter Seymore, f the Nesmith Community, passed away at his home Saturday.

He was saved at the age of 17 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and he graduated from Addison High School in 1962. Hershel served 7 years in the National Guard and was a poultry farmer and truck driver for 54 years. He was a purchasing agent for Winston Quality Homebuilders, a life long member and trustee of Nesmith Church, and church cemetery custodian, a board member of Winston County Farmers Federation, and a member of American Truck Historical Society. He was a restaurant owner of Seymores BBQ and a lifelong baseball fan and he played for Nesmith Amateur League.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nesmith Church where services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Nesmith Church Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.O. and Zola Seymore; brother, Herbert Seymore; brother and sister in law, Burtis and Okelene Seymore; brother in law, Jerry Netherton; and father in law and mother in law, Tab and Lena Walden.
