Catherine was the wife of Ambrose Corn and daughter of John Miller of Pennsylvania. Her mother, Catherine Smothers was from Maryland. The couple settled in Johnson County, Indiana.
Catherine's twin sister was Polly (Miller) Plummer, who lived in Brown County, Indiana.
In later years, Catherine moved in with her son, Alfred Ambrose.
One winter, she went to visit her son, Franklin. She was a very small, frail lady so Frank just scooped her up and carried her into the house.
It is believed Catherine died at age 108.
