Patricia Fern Estep Haney, age 73, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Harriet Ledford Estep. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Haney; sisters: Christine Swann, Lillie Frost and Grace Abbott and a brother, Bob Estep. Fern loved to quilt and make crafts.
Surviving is her loving husband of 55 years, Troy Haney; son, Dana Haney (Angela) of Deland, FL; daughter, Rebecca Willis (Stan) of Burnsville; grandchildren: Aaron Willis (Jessica) of Canton, Jonathan Willis (Christina) of Waynesville and Megan Willis of Burnsville; siblings: Ann Rice (Arnold) of Weaverville, June Hunter (Bruce) of Jupiter, Kate Wilson of Ramseytown and Charles Estep of Inman, SC. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Rev. Bobby Sprinkle will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
