A native of Madison County and a Bumcombe resident for five years, he was a member of Marshall Presbyterian Church. He was a retired Electrician from Newport Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. in Newport News.
Cohn was a son of the late Daniel and Carrie Smith Cohn.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Rudisill Cohn; a daughter, Allison McKinney of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Edna Gordon and Helen Anderson of Asheville and Estoy Anderson of Mars Hill; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowman Funeral Home, Marshall. The Rev. George Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Bowman-Rector Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children in Black Mountain.
