CHESAPEAKE - Max B. Cohn, 63, of 1119 Holly St., South Norfolk, died Thursday at the Naval Air Station dispensary after a short illness.

A native of Madison, N.C., he lived in this area 40 years.

He was a retired Navy lieutenant and a World War II veteran and was retired from civil service.

He was the son of Rev. Daniel K. and Mrs. Carrie Smith Cohn and the husband of Mrs. Sallie Baley Cohn.

He was a Baptist.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn C. Evanosky of Chesapeake; a brother, Rex A. Cohn of Newport News; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Gordon of South Carolina, Mrs. Richard Anderson of Mars Hil, N.C., and Mrs. Herbert Anderson of Ashville, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
