Samuel Bonchek, a founder of the Labor Zionist Movement of America and honorary president of the Labor Zionist Alliance, died Monday at Beth Israel Hospital. His age was 84, and he lived at 40 East Ninth Street.
Mr. Bonchek, who was national president of the Alliance from 1933 through 1971 was also active in the National Committee for Labor Israel, the Labor Department of the Jewish National Fund, the National Committee for the Jewish Folk Schools and the American Jew ish Congress.
He helped develop a fraternal branch of the movement, which was formerly known as the Far band‐Labor Zionist Order.
He leaves his wife. Gnendl; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Schneyer, Mrs. Miriam Braunstein, and Mrs. Bina Shankmanr nine grandchildren, and two great‐grandchildren.
