Mrs. Irene Morris Martin, age 90 of Martin’s Bluff, Blairsville, passed peacefully on Tuesday December 10, 2019. Mrs. Martin was born on June 30, 1929 in Hapeville, GA., the daughter of the late Jack Morris and the late Rosalie Morris Cardwell. Mrs. Martin had lived in Blairsville since 1989. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Jacqueline Bumbaugh & Eleanor Pitman, and a son, Jeffrey Paul Martin. Mrs. Martin was a long-time member of the Coosa United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Coosa United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in East Point, GA.
