COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY – 12/11/2014
LONSWAY - Pauline J., was born January 2, 1924, in Louisville, the eldest of three children of Fred & Carrie (Schuler) Jacobi. A graduate of Mt. St. Joseph Academy, her professional career included work at Snyder Brothers General Agency, Glenmore Distilleries, Bellarmine College, The American Association of Higher Education, and Martin Marietta. During World War II, she volunteered as a nurse's aide at Nichol's General Hospital. After she retired in 1983, she began work for the Profiles of Ministry Program of the Association of Theological Schools, becoming the senior coder. She committed time as well to the Conventual Franciscans, working on its various Commissions and the Secular Franciscan Order of which she became a member. Pauline's gifts included her hobbies: cooking, entertaining, water color painting, photography, and playing the piano. Pauline died at home on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014 with her husband, Francis, at her bedside. The memorial service will be held at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, on January 2, 2015 at 11 a.m.
