Note: Amy's obit says her husband died in 1897.
I had a death date of 10 Jun 1897, but the tombstone does seem to say that John died in 1892.
An obit says he died at the home of his son, D.M.W. Harper, of Dunn, on Friday night, June 18th, and desceneded from an ancestor by the same name, who settled in this county in the latter part of the last century.
