Philip Rhodes, 82, of 310 Frances Street, South Parkersburg, died early Saturday at the Willows Nursing Home.
Born in Clay County, son of the late George A. and Mary Catherine Harold Rhodes, he was a retired Calhoun County farmer and a member of the the Baptist Gospel Temple, Parkersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Chessie Ola Jarvis Rhodes; three daughters, Waneta Pearl Gross of Corning, N.Y., Mrs. Sarah Jessie Yeager of Davisville, and Mrs. Dorla Jean Rhodes of South Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at the Baptist Gospel Temple with the Rev. R. B. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Cottrell Cemetery at Oka, Calhoun County.
Friends may call at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, after 3 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
