MRS. MIRIAM GALT

MRS. MIRIAM GALT, Oklahoma City, mother of KATE GALT ZANEIS and widow of
J. E. GALT, pioneer Ardmoreite, died Saturday morning at her home in
Oklahoma City. The family came to Ardmore with the pioneers and lived
many years at 117 Stanley.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced but it will be here with
burial at Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Galt was Georgia-born. Her husband and she first moved to Texas
then Indian Territory.

Surviving family members are Mrs. Zaneis, MRS. O. L. DENNES and MRS.
MAX HARRINGTON of Oklahoma City; TABOR GALT of Norman, TOM GALT of Long
Beach, California.

J.E GALT died here in the early 1920's. Mrs. Galt was born MIRIAM OTIS.
She was a life time member of the Methodist Church. Her late husband was
a brother of LEE L. GALT and MRS. W. I. SMITH. Some of her nieces are
MRS. MAX WHITTINGTON, MRS. CECIL BABER, MRS. L. N. COX. She had
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
